Michael's Bio
Mike is originally from Riverhead, NY and grew up enjoying the big sound of AM radio in the 60's and 70's as a kid. He started playing guitar in the early 70's then switched to electric bass by 1975. Mike's early cover bands were "InQuest" and "Mutt" where he met some of his dearest friends, Kenny Mades and Alex Burton. It wasn't long before the guys went the original music route with a band called "Mona Lethal" that included Kenny and Alex with Grant Werner and Keith Wilson who were previous members of the very popular Long Island cover band "The Bridge Gang". It was fun while it lasted!!!

By the late 1980's, Mike enjoyed working in the studio with a few different projects. Performing is something that is in your blood and you never lose that desire. It wasn't long before he hooked up with old band mate, kenny mades and formed a unique cover band called "Dorian Black". In 1992, they guys experienced the reformation of Eastern Long Island's favorite classic rock, pop, Motown and soul band known as "No Exit" headed by none other than Mike's old friends, Alex and Grant.

A fantastic job opportunity relocated Michael to Atlanta, Ga. in 1996 where he would soon meet the love of his life, Kayte. "I still dabbled in a few bands but nothing ever panned out musically for me in Atlanta". Michael took this down time to teach himself finger style guitar.

Kayte and Michael with their son, Casey relocated to Florida in 2003. It was at this time that Michael thought his performing days were over. "Kayte and I would occasionally play a few tunes for family and friends at gatherings for fun, but nothing serious. Some of our friends (namely the Dunpheys, the Laveracks and The Curlys!) thought we should learn a few songs and try our hand at playing out in public. So...here we are enjoying our empty nest years and loving our very musical marriage.
